Consultant Membership:
Individual PR consultants and communications professionals from consultancies and agencies.

  1. Ordinary Members (MPRCA)
    • Open to professional public relations and communications consultants who have been practising in a consultancy environment for a cumulative period of less than 3 years.
    • Annual subscription: RM100.00
    • Not eligible to vote and stand for election for the Executive Committee.
  2. Accredited Members (AMPRCA)
    • Open to professional public relations and communications consultants who have been practising in a consultancy environment for a cumulative period of no less than 3 years.
    • Annual subscription: RM200.00
    • Eligible to vote and stand for election for the Executive Committee.
  3. Fellow Members (FPRCA)
    • Open to professional public relations and communications consultants who:
      1. have been an Accredited Member for a cumulative period of five years; OR
      2. have been practising in a consultancy environment for a cumulative period of 10 years or more, AND an Accredited Member for a cumulative period of two years or more.
    • Annual subscription: RM200.00
    • Eligible to vote and stand for election for the Executive Committee.
  4. Honorary Fellows
    • Open to professional public relations and communications consultants who have been practising in a consultancy environment for a cumulative period of no less than 3 years.
    • Annual subscription: RM200.00
    • Eligible to vote and stand for election for the Executive Committee.

 

Non-Consultant Membership:
Individual PR and communications practitioners from non-consultancy organisations or in-house communication departments, or students registered with an institute of higher learning. Individual membership options are based on your professional experience:

  1. Associate Members (APRCA)
    • Open to persons who have been in non-consulting practice for less than three years.
    • Annual subscription: RM100.00
  2. Senior Associate Members (SAPRCA)
    • Open to persons who have been in non-consulting practice for three years or more.
    • Annual subscription: RM200.00
  3. Master Associate Members (MAPRCA)
    • Open to persons who have been a Senior Associate Member or an Accredited Member for five years or more;
    • OR in non-consulting practice for 10 years or more, and a Senior Associate Member for two years or more;
    • OR in consulting practice for 10 years or more, and an Accredited Member for two years or more.
    • Annual subscription: RM200.00
  4. Honorary Master Associates (MAPRCA (Hon))
    • Conferred on persons no longer in active non-consulting practice at the discretion of the Executive Committee.
    • Annual subscription: RM200.00
  5. Junior Associate Members
    • Open to students registered with an institute of higher learning, in Malaysia or abroad.
    • Annual subscription of RM10.00, or one-time subscription of RM20.00.

 

Life Membership:
PRCA Malaysia members with Accredited Membership and Senior Associate Membership and above.

  • One-time life subscription of RM2,000.00

Accredited Corporate Membership::
PR and communications firms that have been operating for at least one year.

  • Open to professional public relations and communications consultancies that have been operating for at least one year.
  • Each firm is also required to employ at least two consultants in their second year of AMPRCA or one consultant in his second year of AMPRCA and two consultants with MPRCA status.
  • Members are entitled to one vote but cannot stand for election to the Executive Committee.
  • Annual subscription: RM1,000.00

  • Corporations and businesses registered with the Companies Commission; associations and societies registered with the Registrar of Societies; and government departments, agencies and institutions.
